It must be clear by now, to followers of the blog, that I am a huge fan of café breakfasts. This is one of the best parts of being back in Australia. Who can say no to a leisurely sun-soaked alfresco breakfast with fresh coffee?
This weekend we visited Environs on Waterloo Crescent, Battery Point, Hobart. It is one of those great breakfast and lunch spots. The café’s bright funky style is a mix of street art and classic Mediterranean. Chef and owner Warren Glover has very cleverly added a wonderful vegetarian range of sides to his extensive breakfast menu. These mouth-watering options include mushrooms, sautéed spinach, hash browns, tomatoes, beans and corn cakes.
Warren also serves up freshly squeezed orange juice and a local coffee specially blended for Environs. Let me just warn you… you wont be able to resist a second coffee.
Breakfast was served with a cheeky grin from one of the cafe’s friendly staff.
